Why we Don’t Remove Dewclaws
Dogs are born with dewclaws,a vestigial digit found on the foot. We don’t believe any animal is born with spare parts or parts that do not have a function.
Dewclaws aid dogs in gaining traction when they run and they are used in lightly gripping bones and other objects that dogs may hold with their paws.
